Today was lock up., external doors and roller door went on! From what I could see through the window I think the internals are in as well! Really looks like a house now, will get pics up soon

Guys started gyprocking yesterday, over two days they have pretty much done all the walls and ceilings. Will be back tomorrow to do cornices. Couldnt take too many pics as there were about 8 of them still going!

6/7 August- Insulation

The end of this week saw M and a few helpful relos add some extra electrical bits to our place. On Thursday the insulation was installed. M hit them up for cash to do more areas but they wouldn't so he did it himself! Thursday afternoon the gyprock boards were delivered (they had to pull out one of the upstairs windows to fit in in!)- gyprock is due to start Monday! And the rest of the eves were completed around the back/afresco area.

Cladding done

So today the cladding was done around the front and all the eves, except for the alfresco complete.
This is the new niche they put in upstairs to accomodate the ducting tube on the left

Last week of July

This week quite a few things got done. They did the roofing on the portico at the front. They finished the roof tiles on the back. The eves around the garage were done. And the electrical was put through the house.

Still waiting on the cladding at the front (can't wait to see what the outside looks like finished) and the eves around the back of the house then outside will be complete minus painting. F stated that they will probably start gyprock this week, so will see how we go!

Well here are the pics... today the did the lower gutters and roof tiles (well most of them, the back has a big gap where it appears they have run out of tiles).... outside is getting there!

Bits and pieces

Lately a few bits and pieces have been happening around the house. I'm sure as I write this I will forget something! They have hammered in the spoke things from between the bricks into the frame. Some re-enforcing has happened on the walls where TVs may go. Also some carpentry around some of the pipping.

The air con ducting has gone through the house. They had some trouble running it to the downstairs theatre at the front of the house so have had to change the wall on the upstairs lounge to have a nieche bordering it. Will upload pics soon so you can understand.

We have made a change to the inside as well. After standing the house we thought that the downstairs toilet door would be better if moved into the hallway that leads to the laundry, so they are moving that for us.

The cleaned the bricks on the upper level.

The eves have been done under the upstairs gutters and they were painted the other day.

M had to meet up with site supervisor yesterday for a walk through of the frame. He explained what happened with the ducting tubes and came up with a solution for us. He said that the renderring will be done this week to the portico and hopefully the roofing on the lower level that isn't yet complete then they can get on to the cladding. Said possibly few weeks after the electrician will come through then should be ready for sheeting...

They have moved the scaffolding down a bit to do the eves and cladding around the front. In the garage were the boards for eves, back of house and the cladding for above garage!
